BrainTalk Psychological Services is a child and adolescent assessment service that can deliver cognitive and educational assessments as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessments. We work collaboratively with children, families, and their teachers to help identify reasons why children might be struggling with their daily activities, learning or social interactions.

BrainTalk Psychological Services can administer a range of assessments.

  • Cognitive assessments to investigate:
    • Intellectual giftedness
    • Intellectual developmental disorder
    • Specific learning disorders
  • Achievement assessments to assess an individual’s capabilities. They can be useful to determine intellectual giftedness, specific learning disorders and the identification of learning difficulties. These assessments focus on:
    • Reading
    • Writing/Spelling
    • Maths
    • Oral Expression
    • Listening Comprehension
  • Comprehensive educational assessments include both the cognitive and achievement assessments and provide extensive information about a child’s learning potential and capabilities.
  • Assessments for neurodevelopmental disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
