Dr Trupti Jadhav

Trupti is a paediatric neurologist looking after children with a wide range of neurological conditions, including headache, demyelinating disorders, neuro-metabolic conditions, etc. Her main interest lies in paediatric epilepsy – its evaluation, management and long term follow up. She currently works as a paediatric neurologist at The Royal Children’s Hospital, working closely with the Children’s Epilepsy Program team.

Background and Experience

Trupti is a trained paediatric neurologist from India, who completed Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018. She has an extensive training in neurology obtained across different continents. After completing her paediatric neurology training in India, Trupti received the prestigious J. N. Tata Scholarship to complete an honorary fellowship in epilepsy at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, United Kingdom. She also completed a course in Clinical Neurophysiology, EEG and Epilepsy at The Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Ohio, USA.

Subsequently, Trupti underwent neurology training in Australia at The Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital, gaining further expertise in sub-specialties like epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and rehabilitation in children. She is the first paediatric neurologist from Australia to have successfully completed the EEG certification exam conducted by The Asian Epilepsy Academy in 2018.

Trupti is a member of Australia and New Zealand Child Neurology Society (ANZCNS), Epilepsy Society of Australia (ESA), Australasian Neuromuscular Network (ANN), Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) and International Child Neurology Association (ICNA). She is actively involved in clinical research and academic teaching and supervision of paediatric and neurology trainees.

Trupti is a compassionate person who is dedicated towards helping children with neurological issues. In addition to her vast experience in various neurological disorders, she has a holistic attitude towards the family as a unit. She believes in integrated care for her patients, and collaborates with allied health professionals, paediatricians and general practitioners in the community.
