Jane is a clinical psychologist who has extensive experience supporting children and their families. She has specific expertise in the evidence-based assessment and treatment of developmental, behavioural, social and emotional difficulties including anxiety, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has specific training and a special interest in the treatment of anxiety and fussy eating, and is experienced in programs for children and their families for developing emotion-regulation, social-, and parenting-skills.
Jane has significant experience working collaboratively in primary school settings and in multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the best outcomes for her clients.
Jane also has experience supporting individuals and couples experiencing stress and grief associated with fertility difficulties.
Background and Experience
Jane is a fully registered clinical psychologist (AHPRA) and has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for 20 years. Whilst completing her Clinical Masters degree, Jane began her career at Queensland Health working in a multidisciplinary community paediatric team. She commenced her private practice in 2004, and is a registered provider of Focused Psychological Strategies (Medicare) and
Helping Children with Autism (FaHCSIA) to provide treatment intervention to children who are eligible for these programs.
Jane is committed to developing strong partnerships with the children and families she sees, in order to deliver high quality support and interventions to achieve a positive outcome. Jane believes in developing the strengths and skills of her clients, and takes a proactive team approach when multidisciplinary, educational and family input is required.
Jane is a mother to a young daughter and understands the importance of finding a healthy balance between family, work and other commitments.
