FIONA GANINO-DAY

Fiona is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist who specializes in administering a range of psychological assessments. Fiona enjoys working with young people and has extensive experience working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds in private practice and educational settings. Fiona specialises in delivering cognitive and educational assessments as well as assessments to investigate attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Fiona graduated from Monash University with a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology. Along with conducting psychological assessments, she has previously worked in private practice and schools providing therapeutic support to children with a variety of concerns. Fiona is registered with the Australian Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS), a Fellow of the APS College of Educational Developmental Psychologists (FCEDP) and a member of the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

As a former teacher, Fiona has extensive knowledge of the education sector particularly the Victorian Curriculum, VCE and teaching strategies that are implemented in educational environments. Fiona believes in the importance of developing the whole child and person by equipping them with strategies, techniques and recommendations to support personal development. She aims to work collaboratively with children, families and their teachers to help identify the reasons why children might be struggling with their daily activities, learning or social interactions.

Fiona is an enthusiastic and passionate psychologist who always fosters positive relationships with her clients to assist them in reaching their full potential. She is able to effectively liaise with young people, parents, schools and allied health professionals to create positive outcomes.
